| An absolute favorite in South Africa for decades... Mrs. H.S. Ball's Chutney has been exported around the world and we carry only the real thing made in Johannesburg, S.A. The name chutney comes from a Hindi word in India, chatni, meaning 'made from fresh fruit and spices". In South Africa it's often used as a marinade or as a sauce to accompany meats, curries and bobotie*. Starting with a volume of 24 bottles a day in 1918, the demand for Mrs. Ball's famous chutney has grown to 8,000 bottles a day. Try a bottle or order a case. *Meat dish minced, spiced and baked with an egg-based topping. |
